Bon Secours Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center is urgently seeking an experienced physician to provide critical call coverage at our state-of-the-art hospital. What You’ll Do:

• Provide expert adult Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, valve repairs, aneurysm repairs, and lung resections.
• Manage a diverse caseload within our full-service, 250-bed hospital supported by a dedicated onsite lab and imaging services.
• Handle both scheduled and emergency procedures, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.
• Collaborate closely with our existing medical team, including mid-level providers, to deliver top-tier care.
• Utilize the EPIC documentation system to maintain accurate and efficient records.

Required Skills:

• Board-certified or Board-eligible in Thoracic Surgery or Vascular Surgery.
• Proven expertise in complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
• Ability to manage acute surgical emergencies with professionalism and composure.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in hospital-based surgical settings.
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system.
• Additional certifications or specializations in related fields.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from a recognized medical school.
• Required surgical experience in a hospital setting, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
• Active medical license in Ohio or ability to obtain one swiftly.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on or around May 28, 2026, with ongoing coverage needs.
• Must be willing to perform call coverage and sporadic additional shifts after initial period.
• Travel and lodging will be reimbursed within outlined parameters; standard/economy travel and lodging within $150/night preferred.
