Pay & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $300,000 – $350,000 annually, based on experience and credentials

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage diverse acute and chronic conditions
  • Collaborate closely with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, CRNAs, and emergency physicians
  • Coordinate and develop comprehensive care plans for hospitalized patients
  • Access and interpret lab tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies; document thoroughly in EMR
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, including codes and rapid responses
  • Manage ventilator support and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and follow-up
  • Contribute to hospital quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Comply with all hospital policies, standards, and ethical guidelines

What You Need
Required:
  • MD/DO with valid Vermont medical license or eligibility
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of hospitalist experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:
  • Experience in rural or community hospital settings
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
