Care New England is seeking a  full time  board eligible/board certified Neurologist to join our growing neurology team at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. This is an excellent opportunity to practice comprehensive neurology in a collaborative environment.

Kent Hospital is home to established Stroke and Multiple Sclerosis programs. The Multiple Sclerosis Center of Care New England offers an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis and related neurological disorders, combining advanced medical care, rehabilitation services, and patient education.

Neurology Position Spotlight:

  • 80% clinical care and 20% administrative/charting time with rotating weekday and weekend call schedule (phone/pager only)
  • Primarily outpatient neurology practice with inpatient consult coverage at Kent Hospital
  • Daily patient volume of approximately 15-20 patients
  • Epic EMR utilized systemwide
  • Opportunity to precept medical students and residents
  • Support for clinical research and subspecialty interests
  • Convenient access to infusion centers, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and ancillary support
  • Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment with primary care, specialty physicians, nursing, and allied health professionals

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles
  • Perform comprehensive neurological assessments through patient history, examination, and diagnostic evaluation
  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of neurological conditions, including, Stroke, Epilepsy, Dementia etc.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe therapies, and monitor patient outcomes
  • Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic studies including MRIs, CTs, EEG, EMG ect.
