Position Highlights

As a Hematology/Oncology Physician at Martinsburg VA Medical Center, you will:

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to Veterans in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Determine appropriate inpatient admissions versus outpatient management
• Perform comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessments
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and formulate treatment plans
• Coordinate specialty consultations within the VA and community care network
• Provide ongoing chronic disease management and survivorship care
• Deliver patient and family education through in-person visits, phone, mail, and secure messaging
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within CPRS
• Supervise and teach medical residents and students
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams
• Potentially oversee nurse practitioners and physician assistants
