What You'll Do
- Round on post-operative inpatients in a busy cardiovascular unit
- Assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries, including first assist duties
- See patients in outpatient clinics and perform pre- and post-op evaluations
- Interpret EKGs, labs, X-rays, and other diagnostic data
- Support advanced procedures such as ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Participate in on-call duties, including night and weekend coverage
What You Need
Required: - Active California Physician Assistant license
- DEA certification
- Board Certification in relevant specialty (Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery)
- Experience with endoscopic and radial artery harvesting; interpret EKGs, labs, X-rays
- Ability to work a schedule that includes day and night shifts, with on-call responsibilities
Preferred: - Prior experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery settings
- Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
