We are seeking a fellowship-trained Cornea, Cataract & Refractive Ophthalmologist to join our established practice in Fairfield, New Jersey. Job Responsibilities:

  • Immediate patient volume supported by an established referral network.

  • Collaborative, physician-led practice with experienced ophthalmologists and optometrists.

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of corneal and external eye diseases.

  • Perform cataract surgery utilizing advanced surgical techniques and premium intraocular lenses.

  • Evaluate and treat patients requiring corneal transplantation, including endothelial keratoplasty and penetrating keratoplasty, as appropriate.

  • Perform refractive surgical procedures and provide consultations for vision correction.

  • Diagnose and manage ocular surface disease, dry eye syndrome, keratoconus, corneal dystrophies, infections, and degenerations.

  • Collaborate closely with optometrists and ophthalmology colleagues to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.

  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical options, and postoperative expectations.

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation while adhering to quality and compliance standards.

  • Participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency.

  • Fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.

  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in New Jersey.

  • Excellent clinical, surgical, and communication skills.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
