Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pain management care using a biopsychosocial approach.
• Coordinate care with a variety of specialties and allied health professionals.
• Serve as a leader and mentor in pain program initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement, staff education, and administrative activities.
• Ensure compliance with VA, regulatory, and hospital policies.

Requirements:

• US. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
• Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
• Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
• Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or eligible.
• Experience with chronic pain management
