Join an Established Outpatient Vascular Practice and Help Advance Limb Preservation in East Tennessee

APEX Cardiovascular Group, part of US Heart and Vascular, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join its growing Knoxville practice. The incoming physician will step into an established, high-volume outpatient vascular program with a fully operational ambulatory surgery center, advanced imaging capabilities, and an experienced clinical team already in place.

This opportunity is well suited for a vascular surgeon who wants to practice at the forefront of outpatient vascular care while maintaining the ability to provide comprehensive surgical management. The practice has a strong regional referral network, close working relationships with local wound care centers, and a longstanding commitment to limb preservation and timely access to care.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Established outpatient vascular practice with an existing patient base and strong referral pipeline
  • Fully operational ASC designed to support advanced outpatient vascular procedures
  • Newly renovated Knoxville clinical space with modern vascular imaging and procedural capabilities
  • Dedicated clinical, imaging, procedural, and administrative support teams
  • Defined two-year partnership track with no partnership buy-in required
  • Equity participation opportunity
  • Competitive compensation with production bonus potential
  • Comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance
  • Affiliation with Tennova Healthcare and access to hospital-based care when clinically appropriate

Advanced Outpatient Vascular Program

The surgeon will have access to current imaging platforms, interventional technologies, and a broad range of devices needed to perform complex peripheral vascular procedures in the outpatient setting. The clinical scope may include:

  • Diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions
  • Peripheral arterial stenting, drug-eluting stent placement, and atherectomy
  • Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)-guided assessment and treatment
  • Mechanical and aspiration thrombectomy
  • Lower-extremity revascularization focused on limb preservation and prevention of amputation
  • Dialysis access evaluation and intervention, including fistula and graft procedures
  • Venous procedures and comprehensive treatment of chronic venous disease
  • Embolization procedures, including genicular artery embolization (GAE) and PFE
  • Peripheral nerve stimulator procedures for appropriately selected patients
  • Open vascular surgery, including carotid, aneurysm, and dialysis access procedures, based on the physicians experience and clinical interests

Limb Preservation and Regional Collaboration

Limb preservation is a central focus of the practice. The vascular team works closely with wound care centers throughout the Knoxville region to expedite evaluation, restore blood flow, coordinate follow-up, and reduce avoidable amputations. The incoming surgeon will have the opportunity to further develop these relationships and help expand a coordinated, multidisciplinary limb-preservation program across East Tennessee.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient vascular consultation and management
  • Perform endovascular, embolization, venous, dialysis access, and open vascular procedures within the physicians scope and privileges
  • Collaborate with vascular surgeons, APPs, nurses, technologists, and ASC staff
  • Develop strong relationships with referring physicians, wound care centers, and community partners
  • Participate in a shared, block-style call schedule
  • Support continued program growth, quality improvement, and expansion of outpatient vascular services

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship or integrated residency
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Tennessee
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered vascular care
  • Interest in advanced outpatient intervention and limb preservation
