Job Summary
The Urogynecology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care to women with pelvic floor disorders including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other pelvic health issues. The NP works in collaboration with urogynecologists and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate, diagnose, and manage complex urogynecologic conditions through both conservative and surgical treatment approaches. Conduct comprehensive pelvic health assessments including history, physical exams, and specialized testing.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as urodynamics, pelvic ultrasounds, and MRI scans.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pelvic floor physical therapy, medications, and surgical interventions.
Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing urogynecologic procedures.
Provide patient education on pelvic floor disorders, bladder health, and lifestyle modifications.
Perform office-based procedures such as pessary fittings, bladder scans, and catheterizations.
Collaborate with pelvic floor physical therapists, colorectal specialists, and other healthcare providers.
Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately in electronic health records.
Participate in research, quality improvement, and patient education initiatives within the urogynecology specialty.
Qualifications
Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
If APRN was licensed prior to August 1, 1995, master's degree in nursing is preferred.
Experience or specialized training in urogynecology or pelvic floor disorders preferred.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice.
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)
National board certification as a Women's Health (WHNP-BC)
Family (FNP-BC) or (FNP-C), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP-BC) or (A-GNP), Adult (ANP-C)
Obtains and subsequently maintains required specific competencies and certifications as outlined on privilege form.

Annual compensation range (based on 1.0 FTE): APPI $97,461-$173,356
Actual compensation offers may vary and are determined based on multiple factors including education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice and expected job requirements.
