What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with an Interventional Cardiologist to manage inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients
- Conduct rounds, evaluate new patients, and develop treatment plans
- Document patient care efficiently using EPIC EMR
- Discharge planning and coordination of care for inpatient stays
- Support a de novo inpatient cardiology unit, providing independent oversight and care management
- Participate in call coverage (1:3 or 1:4 ratio), with an average callback of 2 hours
- Manage approximately 10-15+ patients daily
What You Need
- Required:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
- ACLS, BLS, DEA certifications
- 2+ years of clinical experience, ideally in inpatient cardiology
- Ability to work independently alongside cardiologists
- Preferred:
- Experience with inpatient cardiology procedures and documentation
- Strong clinical and communication skills
