What You’ll Do
- Cover general surgery and trauma call shifts at a Level 3 hospital
- Provide inpatient surgical care for adult patients with a focus on trauma and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with hospital staff, ER, and OR teams to deliver high-quality surgical services
- Manage a varied caseload with limited clinic duties
- Conduct phone consults as needed during call hours
- Support hospital staff in emergency situations, ensuring prompt and effective patient care
- Document patient interactions using Meditec EMR system
What You Need
Required:
- WV or IMLC license
- Minimum of 2–7 days for credentialing if applicable
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Ability to work in inpatient adult surgical settings
- Prior trauma or emergency surgery experience preferred
Preferred:
- Experience with emergency surgery procedures
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
About the Assignment
This temporary shift requires coverage for weekend trauma and general surgery call at a Level 3 hospital. You will be supporting adult inpatient surgical cases with a team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes. Credentialing is quick, and temporary privileges are granted to facilitate smooth onboarding. Lodging arrangements are in place at a nearby hotel with a discounted rate.
