Cayuga Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding Outpatient Gastroenterology practice in Ithaca, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced gastroenterologists in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
Position Highlights
- Full-time outpatient position
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Minimal call responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders
- Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
- Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families regarding disease management and preventive care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Board Certification as an NP or PA
- Eligible for New York State licensure
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
- Gastroenterology experience preferred; motivated new graduates encouraged to apply
