What You’ll Do:
- Provide first assist coverage for adult cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs, aortic surgeries, and more
- Assist during cardiac procedures such as sternotomies and endoscopic vein harvesting
- Collaborate with a team of cardiac surgeons and intensivists to deliver high-quality patient care
- Support perioperative processes, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Assist with emergent and scheduled adult cardiac surgeries in an academic hospital setting
- Manage intraoperative care for complex cases, including mechanical circulatory support procedures
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
What You Need:Required:
- MO State Nursing License
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
- Must be board-certified in relevant specialty
Preferred:
- RNFA certification
- Experience with complex adult cardiac procedures and intraoperative support
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
