Physician - Psychology

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Cape Coral VA Healthcare Center. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive, evidence-based mental health care while making a meaningful difference in the lives of Veterans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychodiagnostic services and psychological assessments.
• Diagnose mental health disorders and conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments using current DSM criteria.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
• Conduct suicide prevention screening, evaluation, and safety planning, as indicated.
• Provide patient care through face-to-face and telehealth modalities.
• Function independently as a member of the BPVAHCS Medical Staff with full clinical privileges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality, Veteran-centered care.
• Participate in program evaluation, quality improvement, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide clinical supervision and instruction to psychology trainees, including postdoctoral, internship, and practicum students.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
