West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is seeking a General Surgeon with advanced training or significant experience in Endocrine Surgery at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The position is based in Morgantown, WV.

Join a high-volume, regional endocrine surgery program with a growing referral base and strong collaboration with Endocrinology. The practice includes thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and complex reoperative endocrine surgery, along with broad-spectrum general surgery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Expand a busy endocrine surgery practice with a focus on thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery
  • Participate in multidisciplinary endocrine care
  • Provide general surgery and shared acute care surgery coverage
  • Teach medical students and general surgery residents
  • Participate in academic, quality improvement, and research activities
  • Shared acute care surgery call, averaging approximately one weekend per month

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO
  • ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency
  • Endocrine Surgery fellowship strongly preferred or substantial endocrine surgery experience
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery
  • Eligible for West Virginia medical licensure
