- End Date/Duration: Ongoing assignment until perm hire
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, clinics open 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, 7 days/week
- Hours/Week: 36 hours (3 shifts per week)
- Employment Type: Locum, with potential for perm
- License/Certs: Active Nurse Practitioner license in VA (or eligible)
- Experience: Previous outpatient urgent care experience preferred
- Hourly Pay Rate: Competitive, discussed upon application

- Provide urgent care services including suturing, I&D, foreign body removal, and burn management
- Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests such as rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose tests
- Perform minor procedures including splinting, casting, joint reductions, and skin lesion care
- Manage epistaxis, cerumen impaction, and airway support as needed
- Document patient visits accurately in Epic EMR
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse outpatient patient population (birth to death)
- Handle episodic higher-acuity cases for appropriate referral
- Required:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in VA or eligibility to practice
- Proven outpatient urgent care experience
- Skills in suturing, I&D, minor trauma, and diagnostic interpretation
- Preferred:
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Ability to see a high volume of patients (25-50/day, seasonal variability)
