• Shift: 12+ hour shifts, 7 days/week operations (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
• Hours/Week: 3 shifts per week (~36 hours)
• Employment: Locum with potential for permanent conversion
• Licensure & Certifications: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in VA, BLS/ACLS preferred
• Experience: Previous urgent care experience preferred

What You’ll Do

• Provide urgent care services including triage, diagnosis, and treatment for patients from birth to death
• Perform procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, skin lesion care, and splinting
• Administer minor burn treatments and manage airway support as needed
• Interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs and point-of-care lab results
• Manage epistaxis with nasal packing or cautery, cerumen impaction removal
• Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality patient care

What You Need

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• Ability to perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, and splinting
• Experience in urgent care or emergency settings preferred
• Strong clinical skills in acute patient assessment and treatment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
