What You’ll Do:
- Provide inpatient general surgery coverage during scheduled periods
- Respond to 24-hour beeper call, including call-backs as needed
- Manage complex surgical cases within inpatient settings
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient care continuity
- Adhere to hospital protocols and standards for patient safety
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication
What You Need:
- Active Alaska Medical License
- DEA Registration
- BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of general surgery experience
- Strong clinical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
About the Assignment:
This temporary opportunity involves providing inpatient general surgery call coverage at a leading facility in Kodiak, Alaska. The provider will be on 24-hour beeper call from 7 am to 7 am on scheduled dates, with no guaranteed hours or overtime. The facility requires candidates with a clean professional history and current AK licensure to ensure smooth credentialing and timely start.
