Practice in one of Southern California's most desirable destinations while enjoying the resources of a large health system and the autonomy of a thriving orthopedic program.

Position Highlights

  • Employed position with Desert Care Network Primary & Specialty Care.
  • Established orthopedic practice located on the campus of Desert Regional Medical Center.
  • Opportunity focused on adult reconstruction, total joint replacement, and hip surgery.
  • New growth position due to increasing regional demand for orthopedic services.
  • Monday through Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Balanced practice with approximately 50% clinic and 50% surgical/operative responsibilities.
  • High-volume practice with 30-50 patient encounters per clinic day.
  • Shared orthopedic call of approximately 1:7.
  • Call coverage at a Level I Trauma Center, providing exposure to a broad spectrum of orthopedic cases.
  • Additional call compensation available; call pay varies based on coverage requirements.
  • Access to an outpatient surgery center conveniently located within walking distance of the clinic.
  • Utilize MAKO robotic-assisted surgical technology at affiliated hospitals to support precision joint replacement procedures.
  • Hospital privileges available at both Desert Regional Medical Center and JFK Memorial Hospital.
  • Collaborate with a large and experienced orthopedic team consisting of orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, medical assistants, and operational support staff.
  • Strong APP support with multiple experienced physician assistants integrated into the orthopedic program.
  • Immediate referral base and established patient demand throughout the rapidly growing Coachella Valley region.
  • Ideal start date approximately 90 days following execution of an agreement.

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction, Total Joint Replacement, Hip & Knee Arthroplasty, or related specialty required.
  • Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
  • Demonstrated expertise in primary and revision total joint procedures preferred.
  • Experience utilizing robotic-assisted technology is welcomed.
  • Strong commitment to quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and collaborative care.
  • Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at Desert Regional Medical Center and JFK Memorial Hospital.
  • Residents and fellows are not currently being considered for this opportunity.
