Title:  LHMG Pulmonary Specialists APP

Position Objective

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our well established Pulmonary Specialists team located in Annapolis, Maryland. This position will require the management of pulmonary patients in an outpatient setting in collaboration with physicians to provide integrated, high-quality care. Services are provided under the rules regulations, and policies established by the the State of Maryland, BPQA, HCFA, AMA, and Luminis Health.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Evaluating and managing patients with general pulmonary conditions
2. Providing patient education and supporting ongoing treatment plans
3. Reviewing diagnostic testing and coordinating appropriate follow-up care
4. Collaborating with Pulmonary physicians and APP colleagues on complex patient cases
5. Participating in ongoing clinical education and professional development
6. Refers patients to appropriate licensed physician or other health care provider as condition or circumstances warrant.
7. Maintains current licensure and continuing medical education credits as required by Maryland State Law.
8. Performs duties in accordance with established routine procedures as set forth by the State of Maryland, BPQA (Board of Physicians Quality Assurance), AMA (American Medical Association), HCFA, and Luminis Health policies.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
• Two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience.

• Prior experience in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Sleep Medicine, or a related specialty preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, physician-supported practice model

 Required License/Certifications:

• Current Maryland Nurse Practitioner licensure or eligibility for Maryland licensure
