Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology

MUSC Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Interventional Cardiology team at Columbia Medical Center. This full-time opportunity combines advanced clinical practice with coordinated inpatient and outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular disease.

Working alongside cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiology APPs, and multidisciplinary care teams, the APP will evaluate new and established patients, coordinate care across the continuum, and help deliver personalized, evidence-based treatment to patients throughout Columbia and the surrounding communities.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Board certified and licensed (or eligible) in South Carolina
• Experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or critical care preferred
• Experience with structural heart or interventional cardiology strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong procedural, clinical, and communication skills

Position Highlights:

• Provide direct clinical care to interventional cardiology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate and manage new and established patients using clinical history, physical examination, laboratory findings, imaging, and other diagnostic results.
• Coordinate referrals, consultations, follow-up care, and transitions across the patient journey.
• Collaborate closely with the attending or collaborating physician and the broader cardiovascular team.
• Document and bill for care provided in accordance with organizational and professional standards.
• Apply current research and evidence-based decision-making to clinical practice.
• Participate in quality improvement, performance improvement, clinical research, accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities.
• Support the development of future clinicians by precepting APP students and helping onboard new team members, as needed.
