Physician - Obstetrics & Gynecology

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Womens Care-Roanoke Rapids are seeking a BC OBGYN to join a new Womens Care practice located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. 

New providers need to come in day before first shift for orientation or day of first shift.

Weekly work schedule clinic hours - Monday-Friday 8a-5p.

**note** - If there is a concern/need that arises at the hospital that falls outside the CNMs scope, then the physician will be expected to come to the hospital and the CNM will hand-off and then go cover clinic.

Call Coverage needed:

Oct. 16th at 8 a.m. - 19th at 8 a.m.

Dec. 30th at 8 a.m. - Jan. 1st (2027) at 8 a.m.

Highlights include:

• Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities
• Shared call with Rural Health Group
• Avg total inpatient: 6 (4-5 patients, 1-2 couplets)
• Avg # patients/day/provider:  6
• Avg # of admissions/day 2
• Avg # of admissions/night 2
• # of Surgical cases per month:  20-30 births/month (of which roughly 1/3 are c-sections)
• Will LT be required to be onsite:  no
• ICU/CC duties:  no
• Will LT respond to codes:  no
• Will the LT be expected to serve as backup in the ER:  no
• Anticipated volumes per day:  Outpt 17 % vs Inpt 83 %
• Procedures - vacuum forces, circumcisions, cesarian sections

• Privileges at ECU Health North Hospital
• Advanced practice provider and midwife support (expectation of the selected candidate is to work collaboratively with Certified Nurse Midwives)
