- Manage inpatient labor and delivery patients in a Level III Trauma Hospital
- Perform labor inductions, cesarean sections, and gynecological emergency care
- Provide inpatient gynecologic consultations
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality obstetric and gynecological care
- Monitor and respond to gynecologic emergencies presenting through the emergency department
- Maintain detailed documentation using Cerner/Oracle EMR system
- Support the hospital’s mission to deliver exceptional women's health services during staffing gaps
Required:
- Active OB/GYN license in New Jersey
- Experience managing labor and delivery patients
- Proficiency in labor inductions, cesarean procedures, and gynecological emergency management
Preferred:
- Prior hospital-based obstetrics experience
- Strong skills in labor floor management and inpatient care
- Ability to perform gynecologic procedures independently
This locum role offers a dedicated inpatient laborist-style position focusing solely on labor and delivery coverage at Mainland Hospital. The facility is a busy, Level III trauma center that provides comprehensive obstetric services. You will provide essential care for laboring women, perform necessary procedures, and manage gynecological emergencies until a permanent OB/GYN joins the team.
