Position Description

The Department of Pediatrics at Oklahoma Children's OU Health the University of Oklahoma is seeking candidates for a faculty position in Critical Care. The individual will share in the diagnosis and care of pediatric patients and in clinical education. We are open to faculty with a wide variety of interests. Formal educational opportunities in the college of medicine are available for interested faculty. Additionally, leadership opportunities may be available for appropriate candidates.

  • Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care

The Department of Pediatrics and Oklahoma Children's OU Health

The Department of Pediatrics in the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is a multi-faceted department with 18 divisions and more than 240 faculty members. The faculty constitutes the principal medical staff of Oklahoma Children’s OU Health. The department is focused on world-class clinical care, cutting edge research, and education of the next generation of pediatricians. This commitment allows us to provide outstanding services to children and families across the state and beyond.

Oklahoma Children’s OU Health serves as one of the teaching hospitals of the Health Center campus and is the only academic tertiary and quaternary health care facility in the state dedicated to the care of children. Oklahoma Children’s is in a growth trajectory with increasing patient volumes and two planned capital projects that will increase the number of inpatient beds to over 500 within four years. With a growing statewide presence and improving national rankings, we are on a path to becoming a world-class children’s hospital.

The Harold Hamm Health Campus at The University of Oklahoma includes seven colleges and seventeen other institutions as well as serving as the state’s primary education and research facility for physicians, dentists, nurses, biomedical scientists, pharmacists, public health administrators, and a wide range of allied health professionals.
