Radiology Associates of Richmond is seeking full-time Radiologists to join its established independent radiology practice in Richmond, Virginia. With 57 physicians and 8 APPs, the group provides comprehensive radiology services across multiple hospital settings throughout the region, including a Level I trauma center, two Level II trauma centers, and several smaller community hospitals. 

The practice is recruiting four radiologists with a target start date of Summer 2027 or earlier and will consider future graduates through 2028. Candidates with training or experience in Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, Breast Imaging, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Interventional Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine are encouraged to apply.

Practice & Schedule

Radiologists provide coverage for inpatient, outpatient and emergency studies. Available shifts include 7 AM–3 PM, 8 AM–4 PM, 12 PM–8 PM, 2 PM–10 PM and 3 PM–11 PM. The practice utilizes Sectra PACS, Meditech Expanse, PowerScribe and RamSoft. Approximately 60 wRVUs per shift are noted in the current practice model. Hospital-based radiologists may perform fluoroscopy procedures, biopsies and other procedures as applicable. 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Board Eligible required
  • Candidates completing training through 2028 will be considered
  • Fellowship training or expertise in Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, Breast Imaging, MSK, Interventional Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine
  • BLS and ACLS required for Interventional Radiology
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Richmond-area residence within approximately 30 miles is preferred. 

Interventional Radiology

For candidates pursuing an Interventional Radiology opportunity, responsibilities may include fluoroscopy, biopsies and other hospital-based procedures. IR physicians also work with APPs, and BLS/ACLS certification is required.
