• Ongoing assignment -- scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage
• In-house call -- 1:1 ratio, 20 minute response time required
• 20 patients per shift
• Inpatient only practice setting
• Admissions required -- avg. 5 call admissions per 24 hours
• Call patients seen -- avg. 10 per 24 hours
• Phone consults -- avg. 10 per 24 hours
• Rounding of unassigned patients required
