Luminis Health is currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our per diem coverage team at our 16-bed inpatient behavioral health units located in Lanham and Annapolis, Maryland. This position involves caring for both voluntary and involuntary adult admissions, working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Position Highlights:
- Ideal two weekends per month - Saturday and Sunday 8a-5p
- May pick up additional coverage shifts during the week
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and patient education
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams and referring physicians
- Opportunity to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and care model development
- Follows policies and procedures consistent with Maryland state regulations and medical best practices
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program
- Active Maryland medical license (or eligibility), DEA, and CDS certifications
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
