St. Mary's Hospital, Hospital Medicine Program Details

Position Details
- Provide comprehensive medical care for hospitalized adult patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and clinical excellence
- Work a 7-on/7-off consisting of 12-hour mid-day shifts (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM), with a full-time (1.0 FTE) commitment of 15 scheduled shifts per month.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
