The Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS). As the Chief of Staff’s primary backup, the DCOS provides key leadership in clinical care, education, and research. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, the DCOS also acts as Chief of Staff in their absence and is a vital part of the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as lead physician for access, quality, and clinical programs
- Oversee credentialing, education, research, and care delivery
- Lead quality improvement, compliance, and utilization management initiatives
- Provide executive leadership in resource planning, budgeting, and strategic development
- Supervise Chief of Staff office staff and collaborate across the facility
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens considered only if qualified citizens are unavailable)
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
- Preferred: Board certification and at least 3 years of leadership experience
