Help Shape the Future of Hematologic Cancer Care in Northeast Wisconsin!

Froedtert ThedaCare is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Hematologist/Oncologist to serve as Medical Director of our Hematologic Malignancies Center of Excellence.

This newly established leadership opportunity combines an active clinical practice with the ability to shape and grow hematologic malignancy services across Northeast Wisconsin. The selected physician will play an instrumental role in advancing clinical programs, expanding access to innovative treatments, and strengthening collaboration between community-based cancer care and academic medicine.

Based at ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center in Appleton, Wisconsin, the Medical Director will work closely with physician and operational leadership, Froedtert Hospital, and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) to advance an integrated hematologic malignancies program across the North and South Regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an active clinical practice caring for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and other hematologic conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care, including benign hematology and solid tumor oncology.
  • Lead the strategic development and continued growth of the Hematologic Malignancies Center of Excellence.
  • Develop multidisciplinary care models, evidence-based treatment pathways, and clinical collaboration across the North and South Regions.
  • Build upon established on-site BiTE therapy capabilities and strengthen care pathways for stem cell transplantation, CAR-T/cellular therapies, and complex hematologic malignancies.
  • Partner with Froedtert & MCW specialists to enhance access to advanced therapies, clinical trials, and specialized care.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on clinical outcomes, patient access, safety, and care coordination.
  • Support multidisciplinary case conferences, physician engagement, mentorship, and clinical research opportunities, including NCORP.

This is an opportunity to do more than practice medicine — it’s an opportunity to help build a program, influence its direction, and make a lasting impact on cancer care throughout the region.
