Meadville Pediatrics, in beautiful northwestern Pennsylvania, seeks a BC/BE Pediatrician to join their busy and growing private practice. Its an excellent opportunity to work with experienced, well-respected physicians who are the sole community provider. Youll have a four day work week with a 1:5 call schedule.

Position Details:

• Both Inpatient and Outpatient.
• The six bed pediatric unit is available for routine pediatric problems with most stays averaging 2-3 days.
• The pediatric office is located in the medical arts building attached to the hospital, so its a quick, easy walk to the ER and to see admitted patients.

Meadville Medical Center (MMC) is proud of its award winning OB/GYN group who deliver 550-600 newborns each year. Pediatricians work closely with the group and attend higher risk deliveries in our low risk level one nursery and newly renovated New Life Unit. The medical staff is collegial and work as a team to provide the best patient care for our independent, community hospital.

Our New Life Unit was 1 of 2 hospitals in our region honored by Newsweek and Leapfrog as one of the Best Maternity Hospitals of 2020.  The award recognizes excellence in maternity care with criteria including low rates of cesarean sections, episiotomies and early elective deliveries and high rates of best practices such as bilirubin screening for newborns and blood clot prevention for women undergoing cesarean sections. MMC is also designated a Highmark Blue Distinction Plus hospital for maternity care.
