The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center is recruiting for a full time fellowship trained Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon.

The applicant will join three current pediatric orthopedic faculty and be part of a service that includes residents. The applicant is expected to be an integral part of an active clinical and basic science program. The applicants must also be American Board of Orthopedic Surgery certified or eligible.

The applicant must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Required Qualifications: 

- M.D. degree and ABOS certification/eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Must have successfully completed an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
- Have a record of scholarly publication in peer review journals.
- Direct experience managing complex orthopedic pediatric surgery cases, competence in standard inpatient procedures.
- A solid understanding of the orthopedic pediatric surgery role and function and interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting.
