BANNER HEALTH, one of the countrys premier health systems and BANNER MEDICAL GROUP (BMG), Banner Health's employed physician group, with more than 1,500 physicians and advanced practice providers, has an outstanding opportunity for a qualified BC/BE Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic and quickly growing Trauma Surgery Group who are doing remarkable things!

Reimagine how you can broaden your impact; our full-time employed position will provide a unique opportunity to share your skill and expertise across state lines! This position will help support expansion and growing market shares in surrounding states and will split time equally between our hospitals at Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY and Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO (approx. 3.5 hr. commute).

The ideal candidate will be flexible, comfortable with working independently, and focused on excellent patient care.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA general surgery residency program
  • Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Training
  • BE/BC in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
  •  Experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the states of Wyoming and Colorado

Practice Details:

  • Full-time
  • 84 - 24 hr. shifts annually (shifts will be shared equally between Casper, WY & Greeley, CO) 
  • 1 month in Casper/1 month in Greeley (3.5 hr. commute)
  • Supported by APPs
  • Call Required

Salary and Benefits:

  • 435K Base + wRVU
  • 60K Sign-on Incentive + Relocation
  • Loan repayment of up to $100K
  • Graduating Fellow? $1500/monthly stipend while you finish your training when you sign early!
  • Wyoming has NO STATE INCOME TAX

Additionally, Banner North Colorado Medical Center is home to a highly rated cancer care program at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Designated as a Level II Trauma Center, we have provided a medical air transport service to the region since the early 1980s with three helicopters available for patient transport.

State-of-the art technology such as Banner iCare and a telehealth program offers extra monitoring of patients in intensive care units. We also offer robotic surgery which can lead to shorter recovery times for patients and an intelligent OB program, designed to reduce the chances of complications during labor and delivery.
