About Preventive Medicine Careers
Preventive medicine physicians use their knowledge and skill to focus on the health of patients, a community, or a population. Promoting and maintain health and well-being along with protecting and preventing death, disabilities, and diseases are all known for being duties of this type of physician. Preventive medicine can be separated into three specialties. There is aerospace medicine, occupational medicine, and public health and general preventive medicine. Research is done by all physicians within the preventive medicine field. Along with research, clinical practices and studies take place so that a physician is able to fulfill his or her job completely. Prevention and management in each specialty is important whether it is for a set of workers or a population.
