Position Overview
Driscoll Health System is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing program at Driscoll Childrens Hospital - Rio Grande Valley, located in Edinburg, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to serve an underserved population while advancing pediatric care in South Texas.
Position Highlights:
- Join a robust and expanding division serving children and young adults with a full spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Active member of the Childrens Oncology Group (COG), with 50-60 new oncology cases annually
- Multidisciplinary support team including:
- Clinical Research Associates (CRAs)
- Pharmacist (Pharm.D.)
- Case Manager
- Registered Dietitian
- Social Workers
- Child Life Specialist
- Chaplain
- Clinical role includes inpatient and outpatient care, participation in tumor boards and COG research initiatives
- Teaching opportunities available
- No in-house call required
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas
- Passion for clinical care and service to medically underserved populations
