Required Skills:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active State Medical License in Texas
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in compensation and pension examinations
- Prior military or veteran healthcare experience
- Familiarity with medical documentation and report writing
- Certification in applicable medical areas or additional relevant training
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree with at least 2 years of clinical experience
- Prior experience with veteran health assessments preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Other Requirements:
- Own an office within 50 miles of Houston, TX (preferred) or be available for per diem assignments nearby
- Willingness to complete training and onboarding promptly
- Reliable internet and communication tools for administrative follow-up
- Must adhere to all VES and federal guidelines
Position Details:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00
- Schedule: PRN, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
- Locations: Primarily in Houston, TX, with possible assignments at other sites nationwide
- No bill rates or additional reimbursements outside specified rates
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process
- Travel and licensure reimbursements available where applicable
