Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas, is recruiting a BC/BE Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join its growing Central Texas OBGYN network, with practice opportunities at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple and Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Both are employed, full-time positions within an integrated delivery system offering academic-caliber resources, competitive compensation, and a strong quality of life along the I-35 corridor.
The Opportunity
- Employed by the health system, full-time; growth-driven openings at both campuses (additional openings also available in Killeen and Harker Heights)
- 2027 (and possibly 2028) residency graduates accepted at Temple; any graduation year considered at Waco
- Inpatient and outpatient practice; Epic EMR system-wide; in-office ultrasound
- Potential for H-1B visa sponsorship, subject to approval
Temple, TX
- 23 OBGYN physicians and 15 APPs in the Temple practice, part of a broader Central Texas group (7 in Killeen/Harker Heights, 5 in Waco)
- Hospital designation: Level I Trauma Center with a Level IV NICU and Labor & Delivery unit; ~3,500 deliveries annually
- Access to subspecialists on-site: Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, and Gynecologic Oncology
- Schedule: OB call with postpartum rounding (7-10 patients/day when on call); outpatient clinic averaging 2-3 patients/hour
- Community: known as the Wildflower Capital, Temple offers a cost of living roughly 30% below the national average, strong area school districts, and easy access to Austin (about an hour south)
Waco, TX
- 6 OBGYN physicians and 2 APPs in the Waco practice
- Hospital designation: Level II Trauma Center with Level III maternal care designation; ~2,500 deliveries annually
- Schedule: in-office Monday-Friday, surgery on Tuesdays, rotating call; in-office telemedicine available
- Access to most specialty physicians locally in Waco, with select niche specialists available in Temple, less than 30 minutes south
- Community: below-national-average cost of living, home to Baylor University, Magnolia Market, and 400+ acres of municipal parkland
Compensation & Benefits
- Base compensation determined by experience and market salary survey data; range shared directly with qualified candidates
- Sign-on incentive available via forgivable loan options

- 15 CME days annually plus a $4,250 annual CME reimbursement budget
