Physician - Psychology

The Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist—PTSD Mental Health Care Line          for the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. The psychologist will provide direct patient contact including, but not limited to: case management, psychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, family/caregiver stress therapy sessions, and other evidenced based treatments for serious mental illness. The psychologist will perform evaluations of patients with a variety of psychological disorders.  Provides psychological assessments and individual and group psychotherapy for patients treated in the PTSD Clinical Team.

Work Schedule:   Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm, possible evenings/Saturdays. Subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Likely starting base salary range: $107,176—$198,583

Qualifications:

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen 
2. Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
3. Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
4. Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
5. Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our veterans.
