The El Paso VA Health Care System is seeking 2 full-time General Cardiologist to join our busy outpatient Cardiology program. The position offers a great work-life balance, a manageable workload with opportunity to contribute and grow the department. The Cardiologist is expected to maintain good diagnostic acumen, clinical judgment, and therapeutic procedures. Responsibility in the following areas will be paramount: Assesses patients for acute illnesses and determine whether patients need to be admitted to the hospital or managed in the outpatient setting. Manage chronic disease over time as well, to provide continuity care. Provide skilled in test interpretation, selecting diagnostic procedures, patient counseling, differential diagnosis and medical therapeutics in the broad range of cardiovascular disorders and preoperative evaluations. Perform echocardiography, exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, Holter monitor and electrocardiogram interpretation, diagnosis and management of arrhythmias and Ischemic Heart Disease. Mon-Fri Flexible Schedule available. No on call and no weekends!

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen, proficient in English. If no qualified U.S. Citizen is found,
   will consider non-citizen candidates

Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State.

Board certified preferred but will accept board eligible.

Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good  
   health for our Veterans.
