The Cleveland Clinic Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Neurologic Institute is seeking an early/mid/or senior career Rehabilitation Scientist (MD/DO or PhD) for the Clinician Scientist track focused on investigation of advancing rehabilitation practice for the improvement of function, independence, and quality of life for the patients we serve.
This position entails:
Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospitals, a joint venture partnership between Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical, has been consistently recognized as one of the top physical rehabilitation centers in Ohio and nationally. Our affiliation with Select Medical brings us a relationship with outstanding academic PM&R faculties across the nation -Sharing the best of rehabilitation science and training in the United States.
Our research facilities offer rich resources that enable the collection of clinical, biomechanical, and mechanistic data. We collaborate across departments and Institutes, providing access to a wide breadth of Cleveland Clinic resources including biomedical engineering, imaging, quantitative health sciences, and laboratory services, in addition to the support of an established research administrative infrastructure. The Case-Cleveland Clinic Clinical Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) Clinical Research Unit is also available for clinical and translational scientific initiatives. Our center is also committed to training the next generation of rehab scientists with institution of mentored career paths.
We invite highly qualified candidates who have a research interest in discovery and innovation in the field of rehabilitation medicine to apply. Existing funding such as foundation grants and NIH awards would be desirable, but not required. Demonstrated track record in research and scholarly activities in rehabilitation medicine is required.
