Cleveland Clinic Childrens is currently recruiting a Breastfeeding Medicine physician to join our outpatient practice located in Akron, Ohio. The candidate would have the opportunity to become a part of an established, busy, and growing Breastfeeding Medicine program. The ideal candidate has clinical experience with and passion for helping breastfeeding/breast milk feeding dyads (examples include board certified pediatric, OB/GYN, and family medicine physicians). They are expected to work collaboratively to contribute to the Breastfeeding Medicine Clinics mission of providing comprehensive breastfeeding care and support to families along their lactation journey in addition to creating a culture that promotes, protects, and supports breastfeeding for our Cleveland Clinic patients, caregivers, and community. The ideal candidate advocates for patients, works well within a team, and looks for opportunities to constantly improve the patient experience by engaging different stakeholders.  Also, the candidate will pursue the IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) certification if not already obtained and will stay up to date on the newest evidence and Breastfeeding Medicine board certifications once meeting the qualifications to apply.

This opportunity will allow you to explore the professional advantages of becoming a part of one of the foremost, physician-led, health care organizations in the nation. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
