Norton Childrens Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Childrens Medical Group, is seeking a pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation physician.
The practice sees over 4,000 patients annually, 400 of which are new patients who need specialty care for conditions such as cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, spina bifida, spasticity and many others. The rehabilitation team works closely with families to create unique treatment plans that address the needs of each child, including all aspects of a childs quality-of-life function. These plans and goals are created using current technology, research and rehab techniques in addition to play and ageappropriate activities. Close collaboration with each family ensures that everyone knows what to expect from the treatment plan.
"Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine is a subspecialty of an inherently unique specialty, yet rather than becoming a narrower scope of practice, the opportunities and possibilities for patient care are endless. It is a joy and privilege each day to look for ways to improve the function and quality of life for our patients. We are looking for someone who sees the potential in every situation and is excited to collaborate for the betterment of our patients and their families."
-Catherine P. Schuster, M.D. Medical Director, Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
