Cleveland Clinic has a clinical staff opening for a Diagnostic Medical Physicist. Candidates must be American Board of Radiology Certified in Diagnostic Radiological and Nuclear Medicine Physics. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of a M.S. degree or equivalent in Medical Physics, Physics or a related discipline and have at least 3 years-experience.  Candidates must also be eligible to secure an Ohio Certified Radiation Expert certificate.

The emphasis of this position is clinical medical imaging, including evaluation, integration, quality assurance, safe use of diagnostic imaging equipment and may include education of radiology and medical physics residents and clinical research related to radiation dose optimization and image quality improvement.  Knowledge, familiarity and experience with diagnostic imaging instrumentation, particularly equipment used in PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Computed Tomography. Familiarity with radiation measurement instrumentation, electronic test equipment, radiation monitors, and dosimetry equipment (including ionization chambers and luminescent dosimeters) is expected.  Up to 25% overnight travel may be required.
