The Louis A Johnson Clarksburg VAMC is looking for a Gastroenterologist to join our team. The Clarksburg VA is small enough to connect with the patients but big enough to still have some of the newest equipment available. At the Clarksburg VA, our health care teams are deeply experienced and guided by the needs of veterans, their families, and caregivers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Surgical procedures, with required expertise in all areas of Gastroenterology including:
- Proctoscopy and/or flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy
- Esophageal dilation
- Colonoscopy, including biopsy and polypectomy
- Therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy
- Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy
- Administration of Moderate Sedation
- Supervision/teaching of surgical residents.
- Providing consultation in an outpatient clinic setting and on inpatient wards.
- Participation in committees.
Excellent work schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.; however, subject to change, depending on the needs of the service/medical center. On-call responsibilities as required.
Salary 250K-400K
