The Department of Veterans Affairs Southeast Louisiana Healthcare System (SLVHCS) is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist (Intimate Partner Violence Coordinator) for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in New Orleans, LA.  The Staff Psychologist (Intimate Partner Violence Coordinator)) will provide direct patient contact including, but not limited to: Provide specialized psychological services at all levels of complexity for patients experiencing IPV, with service delivery to include intake evaluation, treatment planning, diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and patient education. This psychologist may provide collateral consultation with significant others/support systems to aid in the facilitation of client treatment with permission from client.

 

Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm. (Tour of duty negotiable after selection)

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

           Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non- citizen candidates*)

           Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

           Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)

           Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA

           Ability to use measurement-based care to advance treatment. (Preferred)

           Providing evidence-based care for a variety of diagnoses in a general mental health setting. (Preferred)

           Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans.
