Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their Capital Division is seeking a Pathology Medical Director to be based at and oversee Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.  This position would be expected to be a leader and team player, supporting the pathologists, pathology assistants and pathology staff, but also actively engaged in the medical staff as a whole.  The ability to collaborate with the rich multispecialty needs of the hospital is a key attribute.

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomes.

Qualified Candidates:
  • AP/CP Board Certification required
  • Medical directorship experience required
  • High level pathology experience required, subspecialty interest preferred in addition to working knowledge of the breadth of pathology
  • South Carolina licensed or FCVS in place preferred
  • Excellent communication skills required
