Nurse Practitioner - Plastic Surgery

UVA Health Plastic Surgery is seeking a dynamic Physician Assistant to join their busy team in Northern Virginia!

Join UVA Community Health in Manassas, Virginia as a dedicated Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant. You will play a crucial role in our reconstructive and aesthetic surgery service, providing advanced surgical care under the guidance of a licensed surgeon. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting in diverse surgical procedures, with a focus on breast surgery
2. Managing preoperative and postoperative patient care
3. Conducting follow-up appointments in the clinic
4. Facilitating patient communication within the practice
5. Developing long-term relationships with cancer patients

Your daily tasks will involve supporting in the operating room and handling various office appointments. Key duties and responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the surgeon during operative procedures
2. Conducting patient assessments and preparing them for surgery
3. Monitoring patients' recovery in the postoperative phase
4. Collaborating with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals

Our multidisciplinary team consists of a Plastic Surgeon, a Colorectal Surgeon, and a Surgical Oncologist. This full-time position offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8am-5pm with minimal call duties and an average daily census of 10-15 patients.
