Physician - Gastroenterology

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician to join our team as a Gastroenterologist. The primary responsibilities include providing clinical care in Gastroenterology and overseeing the education of Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical care in Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
• Supervise and support nurse practitioners, medical students, and residents.
• Revise work schedules and assignments to adapt to changing patient care needs.
• Deliver quality patient-centered care to adults aged 18 and older.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and management for effective patient care.
• Complete medical documentation in a timely manner.
• Work independently while being accountable to the Chief of Medical Service.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (variable).

Qualifications:

• Basic Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Completed residency training in an accredited specialty program.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred Experience:
  • BLS/ACLS Certification.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Family Practice.
