The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is currently seeking applicants for a Breast Surgeon to join our growing team. Candidates should be Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery or equivalent with fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology or Surgical Oncology.
The ideal candidate is a breast surgeon who performs advanced surgical procedures such as nipple spring mastectomy and oncoplastic breast surgery. The surgeon’s clinical practice will be a hybrid of academic and community at our multidisciplinary Breast Center locations in the Cleveland Clinic Breast Program. The clinical practice for this role will encompass all aspects of breast surgery including benign and malignant disease. No general surgery call is required, breast surgery call is shared among the other nine breast surgeons on our team. Medical students, residents and fellows rotate on our service and our breast surgeons are integral members of the teaching rotation. The surgeon will obtain an academic appointment as Assistant, Associate or Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western University School of Medicine. The selected candidate will be encouraged to participate in clinical research.
The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is comprised of surgical and medical breast specialists, as well as breast psychology. A full array of services ranges from initial screening and diagnosis to innovative breast cancer treatment and management of high-risk patients for breast cancer. The Breast Program maintains full accreditation from the American College of Surgeons' National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is renowned for multidisciplinary cancer care and is a national referral center. Dedicated research coordinators support our team’s clinical trials and research protocols. Our breast surgeons collaborate with outstanding plastic/reconstructive surgeons who provide state of the art care in advanced surgical techniques. Within the Division of Breast Services, Breast Surgery and Medical Breast Services work closely such that breast surgeons can focus their efforts on the management of surgical breast disease. A registered nurse care coordinator supports the practice of each of our surgeons to navigate multidisciplinary care across our institution.
