Currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Porter Medical Center to provide coverage between the Emergency Room and Express Care departments. This position is 1.0 FTE/40 hours a week, scheduled in 10 - 12-hour shifts, days only (no nights). Some weekends are expected. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and work well autonomously.
Located in Middlebury, VT, Porter's Emergency Department has 10-12 beds with approximately 10,000 visits annually. We have an admission/transfer rate of 12% and enjoy in-house support from subspecialties including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Urology, and non-invasive Cardiology. We admit adult patients to a hospitalist service and have a LTC/Post-Acute Rehab facility on campus. Radiology services include 24/7 CT, on-call ultrasound availability and daylight/weekday hours for MRI. We are 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center and have seamless EMS protocols in place for rapid transfer of our sickest patients.
